Level 1: A person operating at this level influences others to get what he/she wants
This falls in the realm of manipulation. With the right skills set one can easily and maliciously get what they want, but will be found out sooner or later and will not be able to sustain it in the long run. The people in this category are always looking for the next hunt i.e. cheesy salesmen, art dealers, con men typically fall under this category
Level 2: A person operating at this level is in the mold of a win-win, where they try to persuade others based on the other person’s needs and desires
They are effective consultants and Sales people who operate with high levels of integrity and are able to build and sustain relationships and gain repeat customers
Level 3: This is the highest level of persuasion, where a person operating in this category appeals to not what he wants or the other person wants, but to the greater good, the higher ideals, the noble virtues
Extraordinary leaders like Gandhi, Dr. MLK Jr, Mother Teresa were masterful at this level. It requires a certain chutzpah to operate at this level and be selfless in their approach and desire to serve for the greatest good of humanity.
